Table MountainsTable Mountains are the only table mountains in Poland and were declared a National Park in 1993. The highest peak is Velká Hejšovina (Szczeliniec Wielki) 919 meters above sea level. It is the highest sandstone peak in Central Europe. There is a rock town on the top of the mountain which is circumscribed by rock walls that are 60 meters high. The whole area is very popular with tourists. Biale Skaly (White Rocks), 30 meters high white-color rocks or Skalne Grzyby (Rock Mushrooms) featuring a number of mushroom-shaped rock formations are also worth visiting. |
